A really good initiative: The replication network, the goal of which is to encourage economists and their journals to publish replications.

A similar thing - very similar it seems - is the Replication Wiki at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.

Both initiatives aim to get more journals to publish replication studies. I still think a dedicated journal would be a good idea.
